Can I test ride before buying?
Yes, at any Ember dealer. Book a slot online, bring a helmet or borrow one, and take the bike out for forty minutes on your own roads.
How do I pay?
Card, bank transfer or monthly instalments over 12, 24 or 36 months with no interest. The instalment option appears at checkout.
Can I fit my own accessories?
Standard mounts throughout: rear rack, bottle cage, child seat and pannier rails all use common fittings. The equipment page lists what we have tested.
A few practical details.
Which model should I start with?
Urban 02 for the daily commute, Easy Step if you want to ride in whatever you are wearing, Carry More if there are children or shopping involved. A dealer can settle it in ten minutes.
Do I need a licence or insurance?
No licence for any of our bikes; they assist up to 25 km/h. Insurance is optional and our partner covers theft and damage from $9 a month.
What happens when the battery ages?
After roughly 1,000 full charges it will hold around 80% of its original range. Replacement packs are $520 and the old one is recycled through the dealer.

A coast offers a changing line of water, rock and sky. Choose a small stretch and give it time rather than treating every stop as a view to collect. Repeated visits to the same edge reveal changes in light and movement.

Before you ride

Range, charging, servicing and the rest, answered plainly. For anything about your route, a dealer will talk you through it.

How far will it really go?
Between 60 and 120 km on a charge, depending on mode, load and hills. Every model page shows range at three assist levels so you can plan on the honest number.
How long does a charge take?
About three and a half hours from empty with the supplied charger, or 80% in two. The battery lifts out, so it can charge at your desk while the bike stays downstairs.
Can I ride it in the rain?
Yes. Motor, battery and display are sealed to IP65. Rinse the drivetrain after a salty winter ride and it will thank you.
What about theft?
Every bike ships with a frame lock and a GPS tag registered to you. If the worst happens, the tag reports its position and the insurance partner steps in.
How is the bike delivered?
Assembled and tuned by your nearest dealer, then delivered to your door or collected in store. Either way, someone sets the saddle height before you ride off.
