No. Cards open in any browser from a link or a text. If they do have the app, the card lands in their inbox with a little confetti.
At every shop in the gift catalogue, in 48 countries, or withdrawn to a bank account. It never expires and there are no fees on either side.
Edit or cancel a scheduled card any time before it goes out, from your inbox. Sent cards can be followed with a second one; we do not judge.
Unclaimed gift cards can be refunded in full for 30 days. Once claimed, the value belongs to the recipient, who can swap it for a different shop.

Terms of use
Summary: use Wishwell to send cards and gifts to people who want them; do not use it to spam, harass or resell gift cards.
1. Your account
You need to be 16 or older to create an account and 18 or older to hold a wallet balance. Keep your sign-in private; you are responsible for what is sent from your account.
2. Cards and gifts
You pay the face value of gift cards and any optional plan fee. Wishwell Cash is a stored balance operated by our licensed payments partner. Unopened cards can be cancelled and refunded; opened gifts belong to the recipient.
3. Content
You own what you put in your cards. You give us permission to store and deliver it. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share, and do not send content that is unlawful or abusive. We remove such cards and may close the account.
4. Plans
Plus and Family renew monthly or yearly until cancelled. Cancel any time from your account page; access continues until the end of the paid period.
Privacy policy
Summary: we collect what is needed to deliver cards and nothing more. We do not sell data and we do not show ads.
What we collect
- Your name, email and phone number, to run your account and deliver cards.
- Card content, stored so recipients can reopen cards later.
- Dates you add for reminders. Contact import is optional and stays on your device unless you choose to sync it.
- Payment details, handled by our payments partner; we never see full card numbers.
What we do not do
- Sell or rent personal data.
- Show advertising inside the app.
- Share your contact list with recipients or shops.
Your choices
Turn off open receipts in Settings. Export every card you sent or received as a PDF. Delete your account and its content from Settings; wallet balances must be spent or refunded first.
