For teachers, course creators, and reviewers

Rubric generator for criteria you can defend

A useful rubric shows what quality looks like before the work begins. Use a Skill to create the first structure from your task and examples, then review every criterion, level, and weight for the learners and decision in front of you.

Include the task, learners, learning goal, constraints, examples of work, scoring scale, and what the result will be used to decide.

Choose the kind of judgment the rubric must support

Different work needs different evidence. Start from what someone can observe in the finished performance or artifact.

Rubric Skills with a visible scoring structure

Compare the sample output, supported inputs, file format, dependencies, and how much editing the first draft expects from you.

This shelf is being built carefully.

A rubric affects real work and often real grades. Test it against several examples, including difficult boundary cases, before using it for a final decision.

Rubric check

Make every level observable and meaningfully different

Clear criteria help learners act and help reviewers reach more consistent judgments.

1

Start from the evidence in the work

Write criteria around what a reviewer can see, hear, trace, or verify. Avoid personality, effort guesses, and vague praise words.

2

Change quality, not adjectives

Describe how completeness, accuracy, reasoning, control, or audience use changes between levels instead of adding “very” to the same sentence.

3

Test the weights and boundary cases

Score real samples, compare reviewer reasoning, and check whether the total reflects what the task was meant to value.

Use it inside the agent you already work with

A Skill becomes a repeatable way for your agent to do this job. Your brief and output stay in the project where the rest of the work already lives.

1

Pick the Skill

Check the output examples, required inputs, dependencies, and price before you install.

2

Install it once

Ask your agent to install the Skill. The trusted guide handles the setup and authorization.

3

Write the brief

Describe the rubrics job in plain language, review the result, and keep the final file.

Questions about rubric generators

What should I provide to get a useful rubric?

Provide the task, learners, purpose, expected evidence, constraints, scale, examples, and any standards or non-negotiable requirements.

Can a Skill align a rubric to standards?

Yes when you supply the exact current standard text. Check that each criterion measures the intended performance and does not add unrelated requirements.

How many criteria should a rubric have?

Use only the dimensions needed for the decision. If reviewers cannot apply the rubric while looking at the work, it is probably too detailed.

Can I use the first generated rubric as the final one?

Review and test it first. Score sample work, look for overlap and hidden bias, revise unclear levels, and confirm the weights match the learning goal.

Start with the work, then define what quality looks like.

Bring the assignment and examples. Generate a first structure, test it, and keep only criteria you can explain.
