Editorial illustration Skills for articles
Give your agent the point of a post and get a finished illustration that says it at a glance: one lead image, a spot illustration or a matched set for a long read.
Editorial illustration examples from article ideas
Single images for one idea, or sets that carry one style through several sections of the same article.

What is editorial illustration?
Editorial illustration is art made to go with a piece of writing. Instead of showing a literal scene, it turns the article’s point into a visual metaphor, so readers get the idea before they read a word. Spot illustrations are the small versions placed between sections.
Field Notes
How habits actually form
Mei Tanaka· 6 min readA habit is not a decision you make every morning. It is a small loop: a cue, a routine and a reward that your brain learns to run on its own.

Create an illustration from your article brief
Start from the point you want readers to remember, not from a style.
1Install a Skill
Pick a style above and paste its install prompt into your agent.
2Share the idea
Paste the article or say the one idea each image has to carry.
3Approve the metaphor
Check that the picture says what the paragraph says, then place it.
Why not just ask your AI for an illustration?
Asking directly gets you a result. A Skill adds the parts that make it reliable and repeatable.

Editorial illustration FAQ
What these Skills do not do
- They do not hire or match you with an illustrator.
- They do not draw dense diagrams or text-heavy posters; see infographic posters for that.
- They do not reproduce a named artist’s or brand’s exact style.
What is a spot illustration?
A spot illustration is a small image placed inside an article, usually beside one section, to break up the text and underline one idea. The Claude Style Illustration Skill makes one compact metaphor per image, which suits spot use.
Can I get several illustrations in one style for the same article?
Yes. Article Illustration Set makes three images for three passages of one approved article, keeping palette and continuity rules the same across all three.
Is there a free editorial illustration Skill?
Claude Style Illustration is free. It can generate through your own FAL account or another image tool in your agent; FAL charges apply only when you use that path.
What is the difference between a blog illustration and a cover image?
An illustration explains an idea inside or at the top of the post. A cover image is built to work as a featured image and thumbnail too. For covers, see the blog cover image Skills.
