Does OpenHands support Agent Skills?
Yes. OpenHands reads Agent Skills from .agents/skills/ in a repository and ~/.agents/skills/ for every conversation. A Skill loads when a task matches its description, so the agent can follow a tested template while it works in its sandbox.

OpenHands skills FAQ
Does OpenHands support skills?
Yes. OpenHands reads SKILL.md folders from .agents/skills/ and ~/.agents/skills/ in the CLI and local GUI. OpenHands Cloud keeps a skill library you can add to from a registry or a connected repository.
What happened to OpenHands microagents?
Microagents became skills. The old .openhands/microagents/ and .openhands/skills/ folders still load but are deprecated; use .agents/skills/ for new skills.
OpenHands skills vs AGENTS.md: what goes where?
Repo-wide rules belong in AGENTS.md. Task-specific know-how, such as how to build a landing page, belongs in a skill.
Can I use my Claude Code Skills in OpenHands?
Yes. A Claude Code Skill is a SKILL.md folder, the same format OpenHands reads. Copy the folder into ~/.agents/skills/ and OpenHands picks it up.
Are the Skills on Skillry free?
Every category has free Skills; the rest are $4.99 each or included with a Skillry plan. Free and paid Skills install and run the same way.
