How do skills work in Zed?

Zed’s agent reads Agent Skills from ~/.agents/skills/ globally and .agents/skills/ in a project. It sees a catalog of installed skills and loads one on demand, or you invoke it with a slash command. Each skill folder must sit directly inside skills/, not in a sub-folder.

How to install skills in Zed

Zed reads ~/.agents/skills/, so the install prompt puts each Skill there with no extra setup.

1Open any Skill on Skillry and click Copy install prompt.
2Paste it into Zed and send.
3Approve the sign-in in your browser if asked, then ask for what you need.

No Node.js needed. Unzip the Skill into the folder yourself.

1Click Download ZIP on any Skill page.
2Unzip it so the folder sits in ~/.agents/skills/.
3Restart Zed so it picks up the new Skill.
